Culture, creativity, and diversity are the defining elements of Brooklyn, NYC. The Chocolate Room is nestled in Cobble Hill, a beautiful brownstone, tree lined Brooklyn community. We’re very proud to be a part of this creative space, and celebrate it daily. We share our brand with locals and tourists. Tour groups visit us often. We’re happy to be a stop on these tours as hundreds of inquisitive people visit looking for something new and different, and perhaps just delicious. Two groups that visit us regularly are WeVenture and Slice of Brooklyn Tours. They introduce visitors to the intimate and memorable side of our city. Guests on the tours view the spectacular visual sites of Brooklyn, as well as taste everything from our unmatched pizza shops, to our Italian Ices, fish markets and of course, artisanal chocolate makers. |
During these visits, we enjoy sharing our history, production processes, and of course, offer a taste of something special. Sometimes it’s our decadent Belgian Chocolate sorbet, a hand crafted and painted bonbon, or a seasonal special. Sometimes the group will partake in our latest collaboration with a local brewery, whiskey distillery, honey maker, or taste an exclusive Starbucks chocolate that we’ve created for The Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Manhattan: it might include a Coffee Creme Caramel or Cold Brew bonbon. The tours bring guests from around the world. We’ve met travelers from New Zealand, Japan, Israel, England, South Africa, Texas, California, Canada, France, Australia, and beyond! And with all of our cultural, intellectual, or political differences, we know that one thing we all can enjoy together is CHOCOLATE! It is our unifying commonality and with it we enjoy connecting with the global community. As they sample our dark chocolate sorbet, bonbons, or now our famous chocolate cupcakes, there is a universal joy that we see on visitor’s faces that help make our days meaningful. The smiles that result are a universal joy, and it’s such a delight to witness. |
In a world where division seems to be prevalent, we find that chocolate provides a unique unifying gift. It’s been a rewarding experience to be able to share our creations with guests visiting NYC. We’re grateful and proud to be a stop on their journey. When we see the faces of our enthusiastic and genuinely curious visitors, for a brief, and enjoyable moment, we leave behind our daily stresses and feel inspired and reconnected to our original purpose. For 19 years we’ve been creating chocolate layer cakes for birthdays, and celebrations, bonbons for holiday gifts, brownies sent online to help people get through challenging times, and of course, ice cream to bring some joy to someone’s day. The tour groups allow us to share our delectable treats with friends all over the world, but more importantly, connect us, as people, enjoying life, together. Sometimes we even connect over our passion for soccer, another unifying interest we hold high. Thank you to all of our tour guides for bringing your guests to us, and for sharing our creations. We love having you, and look forward to making more friends through chocolate! |
